Breast Cancer Awareness: Your Impact Matters

Your Role in Breast Cancer Awareness

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a time to honor those affected by the disease, promote education, and encourage action that can save lives. Each one of us plays a vital role in spreading awareness and supporting the fight against breast cancer. Given that one in eight women in the U.S. will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime, raising awareness is crucial in combating this disease.

The Numbers That Matter

In 2025, it's estimated that 316,950 women and 2,800 men in the U.S. will be diagnosed with invasive breast cancer, alongside approximately 59,080 new cases of non-invasive breast cancer. These statistics underline the importance of early detection and education. Fortunately, early detection makes a significant difference. About 66% of breast cancer cases are diagnosed at a localized stage, where treatment tends to be most effective. At this stage, the five-year survival rate is an encouraging 99%.

Taking Action Can Save Lives

Breast Cancer Awareness Month serves as a meaningful reminder for us all to schedule routine screenings and encourage friends and loved ones to do the same. Your active participation in these efforts can help save lives. Remember, if you have questions about what your insurance may cover regarding preventive care, reach out for guidance. We’re here to help ensure your peace of mind in taking these preventative steps.

Extend Your Support

Let's use this month as a powerful call to action by scheduling screenings, sharing crucial information, and supporting those in need. Encourage others to learn more, donate, or participate in local awareness events. Together, through knowledge and action, we can make a lasting impact in the fight against breast cancer.
